"POIEMA" is the Greek word "workmanship" as used in Ephesians 2:10, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." POIEMA is literally translated, "artistry." How beautiful. We are His artistry!! These works of artistry have been pinned from the beginning! What a great picture of Father's intentions with the arts.

 

PoiemArtisry is comprised of "artists" 13 years of age and up, and chosen by audition and teacher recommendation. *It is important to note that anyone may audition for this group even if they do not study with Field of Dreams Performing Arts Conservatory.

 

PoiemArtistry is comprised of three integral yet distinct divisions: A ballet ensemble, a contemporary ensemble, and a tap ensemble. The purpose for PA is to offer a greater experience to those who want to pursue dance on a more professional level. The groups will have extra rehearsals as well opportunities to dance to choreography that is more challenging and expressive. Many professional guest choreographers from the Raleigh area (Carolina Ballet as well as others) and regional/national will be invited to create works for each group.
